A Journey Through Landscape and Emotion

Bryska was born and raised in Myszyniec, Poland, an area surrounded by vibrant natural landscapes that heavily anchored her visual imagination. Following the tragic loss of her father at a young age of 5, she turned to art as a critical mechanism for deep introspection, healing, and self-expression. Her background in technical graphics, combined with formal training at the Wojciech Kossak Art School in Łomża, gave her the technical foundations to later abstract these deeply personal memories.
A major personal value reflected in her current practice is renewal and resilience. After navigating personal challenges and a major health crisis, she made a definitive turning point to dedicate her life entirely to painting. This personal breakthrough gave her art a renewed sense of purpose, shifting her work from realistic replicas of nature into emotionally resonant, textured landscapes.
Bryska explicitly states that her paintings are not intended to record the physical geography of a place. Instead, they represent her values of mindfulness and emotional storytelling, capturing how a place feels. By building heavy, sculptural oil textures using palette knives alongside fleeting representations of shifting clouds, light, and water lilies, she captures personal feelings of peace, nostalgia, and hope.
