A Journey Through Landscape and Emotion
Polish artist Boguslawa Bryska hails from Myszyniec, a town renowned for its vibrant natural landscapes, which continue to serve as her principal source of inspiration. She began her artistic journey at a young age following the loss of her father, utilizing art as a medium for expression and introspection. Her mother recognized her innate talent and enrolled her in art school, where Bryska further developed her unique style at the Wojciech Kossak Art School in Łomża, Poland. Her inspirations include renowned artists such as Michelangelo, Claude Monet, Leonardo da Vinci, Wassily Kandinsky and American artist Robert Moore.
Despite temporarily pausing her artistic practice to raise her children and address personal challenges, her passion for painting has remained steadfast.
In 2025, a major health crisis led to a profound renewal of her artistic dedication, prompting her to resign from her job and devote herself entirely to her craft.
Since then, her artwork has captured the attention of curators and art enthusiasts alike.
She now sells her creations to collectors around the globe.
Bryska's landscapes are infused with memory and emotion, transforming personal experiences into expressive painterly forms. Primarily working in oil and mixed media, she creates robust, tactile surfaces, employing palette knives to sculpt dense textures on the canvas. These expressive elements are often juxtaposed with more delicate treatments of the horizon, utilizing techniques such as stippling and dabbing, resulting in a dynamic interplay of weight and atmosphere.
